La Land Cruiser V8 è un connubio di autentica potenza, eccezionale funzionalità e comfort da berlina di lusso. Rispetto alla versione precedente si può notare una nuova mascherina frontale che, unita ad un nuovo set di gruppi ottici contribuisce a ''rinfrescare'' l'immagine anteriore del veicolo, nuove cromature nella zona degli specchietti, un set completo di cerchi in lega disponibili con misure dai 18 ai 20 pollici e uno design rinnovato negli interni, grazie agli allestimenti Lounge e Style: si distinguono per il valore estetico e la funzionalità, volta a garantire massima comodità per i 7 passegeri che il veicolo può ospitare.
E' presente un sistema di Infotainment con schermo da 7 pollici, Multi-Terrain Select System (per affrontare diversi tipi di asfalto), Craw control (per il fuoristrada) e un servosterzo a rapporto variabile. Il motore è un V8 con una cilindrata da 4.5 litri, capace di produrre una potenza massima di 272 Cv e una coppia di punta di 650 Nm; un propulsore potente per una massa da spostare di circa 2.700 kg con un notevole ruggito. Il risultato è ottimo: i 100 km/h si raggiungono in 8,9 secondi e si può accelerare fino ad un massimo di 210 km/h. Il consumo ufficiale per 100 km di strada è di 9,5 litri, ragionevolmente contenuto per un mezzo con una simile massa e potenza.
